Joint press conference on effectiveness of photocatalyst in preventing infectious disease
Kaltech Corporation achieved a positive result in research conducted jointly with the Department of Medicine in the Division of Hematology and Rheumatology at the Nihon University School of Medicine. The research examined the efficacy of a photocatalyst sterilization and deodorization device at preventing infective diseases under normal usage conditions.
A joint press conference was held today.
The positive research results suggest that the device may be effective at preventing infectious diseases caused by common bacteria, fungi, or viruses such as COVID-19. This technology would be especially beneficial to vulnerable populations, such as elderly people with weak immune systems or patients with underlying diseases.
